The Torrey Pines Gliderport is shared by two radio-controlled model soaring clubs – the Torrey Pines Scale Soaring Society (TPSSS) and the Torrey Pines Gulls (TPG). Coordination of events for these two clubs is made through the Torrey Pines Soaring Council (TPSC). The site is also shared with hang gliders, paragliders, and on occasion in the Spring, full-scale sailplanes. R/C Pilots must observe all site rules posted at the site, carry membership in the Academy of Model Aeronautics, and must be members of either the TPSSS or the TPG. You are required by City of San Diego to annually sign a liability waiver form before permission to fly at Torrey Pines Gliderport will be granted and pay any required fees. RC pilots must all be checked out and receive a rating before flying.
